Among other casino goods, roulette table layout can be named the most easily recognizable symbol of gambling in the entire world. The long roulette table, which the player usually sees in the large casinos, can accommodate between six and eight roulette players quite easily. Roulette table contains some typical parts, which can be found on the every roulette set.  First of all, on the roulette table there is a layout containing the numbers that you can bet on. As you'll learn in the roulette bets section, when you bet on a number on the roulette table, you're basically betting that when the wheel is spun and the ball finishes its bounce, that it will come to its final rest on the number that you'd bet on.

For European roulette, which is also called French roulette, the roulette table layout will contain thirty-seven numbers including a single zero.  For American roulette, the roulette table layout will contain thirty-eight numbers including a zero and a double zero. The roulette table shown on the picture is an American Roulette table layout. The side and the end of this roulette table that has the thick gray border is the section that's fully dedicated to the players. They stand at the side and the end of this roulette table to place their bets and observe the proceedings and in most cases, especially on a hot casino night, it's standing room only at the roulette tables. The end of the roulette table is the dealer or croupier domain and only he/she may enter there. From the end of the roulette table, the croupier spins the wheel, and calls the numbers, and is basically in charge of the roulette table proceedings. Online of course it's a whole different matter. European Roulette table

There are some signs and symbols that appear next to the numbers on the European Roulette table: Manqué (the numbers from 1 to 18), Passé (the numbers from 19 to 36), Pair (even), Impair (odd), and two diamond-shaped symbols (red and black). Also, six squares, three on the left and three on the right, can be found at the bottom of the roulette table: these are marked P12 (12 Premier, or first dozen, the numbers from 1 to 12), M12 (12 Milieu, or second dozen, the numbers from 13 to 24), and D12 (12 Derniere, or third dozen, the numbers from 25 to 36). Stakes on dozens are placed at the center of the corresponding squares on the roulette table. Finally, three empty squares are found at the center position of the bottom of the roulette table. These squares are used for placing stakes on columns of numbers. When a player of the European roulette table places a stake on the first square on the left on the roulette table, he is betting on the vertical column of numbers from 1 to 34. In European roulette table the wheel is made of wood with a diameter of 22,05 inches and consists of 37 slots, numbered from 0 through 36. All Roulette players, and even those who don't play, are well acquainted with the appearance of the roulette wheel and the betting layout. Red and black numbers determine the sum of the digits, which make up each black number is even, while the sum of the digits, which make up each red number is odd.

American Roulette Table

European roulette table andAmerican roulette table have some differences. The numbers on the American roulette table wheel are 1 to 36, 0, and 00. The numbers alternate pairs of odd numbers with pairs of even numbers. On the American roulette table wheel numbers also alternate between black and red. Both the 0 and 00 slots are green in color. The American roulette table is designed so that the numbers, not including 0 and 00, are lined up into three columns, each of twelve numbers, the first row is 1,2,3; the second row is 4,5,6 and so on. The rest of the roulette table is devoted to the myriad bets the game entails. Note also that 0 and 00 are neither odd nor even in this game. The house average or house edge is what is lost on average relative to the bet. If a player bets on a single number on the roulette table in the American game there is a probability of 1/38 that he gets 36 times his bet (including the return of his bet), so he ends up having on average 36/38=0.9474 times his bet. Thus the house average playing roulette on the American roulette table is 1/19 (5.26%); the same applies for the other kinds of bets, except for the five number bet where it a greater than 7%. The house average is approximately halved in the game on the European roulette table.
